Ahti Nykänen

Ahti Nykänen (MA) is a director and editor from Rovaniemi, Finland, currently located in Helsinki. During the years 2015-2020 he studied audiovisual media culture in University of Lapland. Between 2020 and 2023 he has gained experience with Oktober production company as a director, editor and a general post production specialist.

Nykänen has worked with several short films as an editor, director and writer (e.g. Häive 2021, Ei mitään hätää 2021). Among short films he has also directed music videos for Finnish artists (Sonata Arctica, Jarkko Honkanen, The Backstabbers).
